First Visit

Brief Paperwork – CLICK HERE

Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. If you take prescription drugs and/or use nutritional products, it is helpful to bring a written list of these with you.

Let us know if you are receiving other treatments for your condition and if you’d like us to communicate with your primary medical doctors with regards to your chiropractic treatment.

Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with Dr. Arnett to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options.

History and Examination

In order to help determine what your structural and functional problems are, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. A number of specialized tests may be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.

X-ray Studies

Your specific condition may require us to send you for x-rays or other tests to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. You may want to bring in imaging reports and/or CD’s of the imaging services you have had in the past.

Same Day Treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches. If you have any questions about nutritional products or need clarification on use, don’t hesitate to call us back.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

Generally speaking, patients are seen again within the next week to assess treatment outcome and discuss a plan of continued care.
